Dragon Year

Chinese New Year started slightly earlier this year for me.

I had reunion dinner with sbd's family on Saturday since this year both her sister have already gotten married and they couldn't come back for reunion on the actual day.
So before the reunion dinner, we went out for last min shopping!
We got hungry halfway and decided to snack on "i love taimei"
We ordered the Selina Chicken + Seaweed Fries + BBT.
I love the chicken and fries! Super yummy!
As for BBT, they are famous for those milk based drink.
Worth a try :)

He ordered Lemon Aloe Vera drink since he don't like milk drinks.

Back to SBD's place after shopping. Sbd's mum prepared all the food!

Rise and shine! Early in the morning I woke up and get myself prepared to bring my notti niece and nephew out to the playground. But before that we headed to Junction 8's pazzion as my sister wants to buy a pair of mum and daughter pumps. Kaley wants a pretty pair of shoes!

Backtrack a little.

On the 17th Dec:

Early morning sbd and I went for our body checkup followed by breakfast at this newly open brunch place called "PIQUE.NIQUE" at Takashimaya. This place used to be Macdonald ! So I am pretty surprised that Mac actually closed down at this particular spot. So we decided to give it a try since the price is quite reasonable and I am craving for brunch.

We order 2 different sets of breakfast.
Can't rem the name thou. But sbd commented that the toast is really nice.
Other than that, the rest was so so.
This meal cost about $8.90 I think.

After the breakfast, we head over to pick Kieren up to join us for our X'MAS outreach at St Saints Home (Hougang). This is our 2nd outreach of the year! This time instead of preparing food and distributing them. We are involved in singing Christmas Carol for the old folks there.

The slips contain the following brands - Lenovo, Acer, HP, IPAD2 and I can't rem what else.

- Christmas Eve -

We wanted to have lunch at strictly pancake but it was closed at 3pm and we couldn't make it on time and have to settle for TCC somewhere nearby.
Is our first time having TCC main course and I must say they are really yummy although it is a little costly i think. The TCC at selegie is quiet and is a nice place to spend your afternoon!

After the main course, we ordered the dessert and I made him to take photos with the dessert and he got fed up with me. ahhaa

After the lunch we headed off to X'MAS church service at TCT.
Our church came up with a fund raising activity to raise fund for those kids w/o parents.
So we had a huge christmas tree near the church area and for every donation you made, you get to hang an ornament onto the christmas tree.

SBD's 27th Birthday Celebration (:

We spent a simple day at our friend's house playing board game during X'mas day.
Since his birthday is always one day after x'mas, we have a mini surprise celebration for him.
I have pre-ordered Twelve Cupcakes for him and it was suppose to come with customized fondue. The workers there totally forgotten about the fondue that I ordered. Hence is just those normal cupcakes with no deco! I really like the red velvet cupcake! So do rem to try this favour.

After this game, we went to have our pot luck dinner.
SBD and I bought 4 fingers from ION, kaya cheese cake as substitute of log cake
(sbd said this is so much nicer then logcake) and ham.
Clarky and Peifen - They prepared yummy macroons that are handmade by them! Super yummy, let me know if you want to order from them as they are taking in orders! They also prepared spaghetti for us.
Staff Lim and GF bought a huge tray of handmade sushi that are very yummy too.

Hello! Back to blogging.... This shows how I failed as being a blogger. haha
I had a great awesome time since the last time I blogged. (:

I was opening up my project life album just mins ago and was quite lost at what I should be doing! So I was thinking how about I print out the photos that I took on the 1st Jan! Guess what? I think i have made spoiled my canon photo printer by putting in a HP photopaper. :( The whole ink cartridge have jam up the photo paper and it seemed not working well now. I am so upset about it! Is time to visit the Canon service center again! I barely used it less than 10 times ok! Still pretty sore over this! Arrgggg! I am so clumsy and trying to act smart by putting in a HP photo! Shall not harp on it anymore. BYE!

Sbd and I attended Faridah's daughter 1 yr old bday at Changi's bungalow chalet.

Sharing this because I think this is a well organized with fantastic decorations birthday party!
This is one of my favorite parties I have attended so far.
It is a Elmo themed party!

Elmo's balloon! There is a balloon maker (is it called balloon maker?) that are dressed in bright colors and in a very cute outfit! I bet all the kids will love her! She makes really nice figurines of cartoon characters (:

Taiwan Day 1 - Jay Restaurant

Let me continue with the rest of Day 1 in Taipei !

After Hello Kitty Restaurant, we split our ways to the nearby SOGO to do some shopping!

SBD was really hungry since we only had dessert earlier on.
We then spotted this Ji Guang Delicious Fried Chicken!
We decided to get one and the interesting part of this shop is that initially we wanted to order the small packet chicken but the sales people will start singing some songs and persuade you to buy the large packet! So we got persuaded by them and bought the large packet chicken.
The chicken is really delicious and nice! Is a must try when you are in Taipei. I hope SG will franchise them in! They are really delicious (:

Sis bought a short from this shop that is very famous online.
Since it was a raining day, they provided us with a little plastic over the paper bag to protect it from the rain. It is really thoughtful of them to do that isn't it.

After 2 hours of shopping, we met up with kirk and sharon to head to Jay's Restaurant.
We took a cab there and the restaurant is located inside a local university.

You can skip this place unless you are a fan of Jay Chou.
There is a lot of Jay Chou's personal items over there and of course the only main attraction will be the grand piano that is used in the show that he acted. Sbd bought the note books for his colleagues. It is pretty nice and unique since it can only be bought from Jay's restaurant.
After the dinner, we decided to go to Shi Da night market but it was raining so heavily that we took a cab and head back to the hotel to rest (:

Taiwan Day 1 - Hello Kitty Restaurant

I decided to start blogging on my recent Taiwan trip.

This trip was supposed to be a yearly Bangkok trip but due to the flood we were to postpone the trip. After one week of observing the flood situation, we decided to change the location to Taiwan instead.
Ahem.. This is a good chance since I have been secretly wanting and wishing I can bring SBD to Taiwan :)

Taiwan Day 1

Woke up around 5am in the morning to head to the budget terminal for our flight at 8.30am.
Dad was nice enough to fetch mum, er jie , sbd and me to the airport.
It was mum first time taking budget airline as it was suppose to be my da jie who should be going with us. Due to some work commitments, she couldn't go and so mum went along with us. So I think is pretty exciting for her. We kinda pre-empt her what she should be expected of the budget airline.

After 4 hours plus on the plane, we finally reach Taiwan Tao Yuan International Airport.
We are greeted by those Chinese wordings everywhere we go.
So here is a little guide:

Look for signs that says : "Bus to city"
There are a number of bus companies and you just have to show them the map of your hotel and they will tell you which bus to take. Ours was about 250NT each if I did rem correctly.
This transportation bus is so much cheaper than taking taxi.
It will takes about 45mins to an hour to reach your destination and you will need to walk about
5 -10mins depending on the location of the hotels.
If you were to take a taxi, it will cost you probably cost you 60 - 80sgd.

We took Kuo-kuang as our hotel is very near to Taipei Main Station.

We stayed at Royal Hotel which is very near City Inn.
It was a last min booking as we couldn't find any hotels that have the dates that we wanted. Everywhere else was fully booked on the 12th Nov. Not sure why it is so! But luckily, my colleague Sharon who is there 2 days earlier than us managed to find one that is very near hers and moreover the price is quite reasonable. It was 2000NT per night which is about 86 sgd for 2. This hotel was not fully booked because they do not have an online booking website yet. It was a 7 storey high hotel, pretty small but it have a very nice lobby. It is quite clean and comes with free wifi and have all the necessities that we needed. Just a 5 mins walk to Taipei Main Station. The location is quite good too. So is not too bad since it is an impromptu trip. No pictures of the hotel because we are late for our reservations at the Hello Kitty Restaurant! We rushed out once we checked in the hotel.

We had a hard time finding the Hello Kitty restaurant! Luckily the people there are really very approachable and friendly! Kirk and Sharon have been waiting for us!

The decoration of the restaurant are very nice! I think all Hello Kitty fans will definitely loves this place. Everything there are all so pinky and cute! There is a minimum spending of 300NT per pax and we are only allowed 2 hours there and it is a must to call and make reservations else you won't get a slot when you reach there! You can order the dessert set which is pretty worth it as it comes with a cake and a drink.

D&D 2011 - The House @ Dempsey

This year Dinner & Dance was held at House @ Dempsey (8th Dec). Sharon's husband (Kirk) is nice enough to give us a lift else you can imagine the long journey that we need to take to get up there. Of course given the privilege of being neighbor, I got a ride home from them as well!

This year location is definitely better than last year!
Last year, it was held at some sort of sleazy pub with aerospace theme.
(Heard the pub have already closed down. haha)

House @ Dempsey

House is a casual cosy cafe with a fine dining touch. Sit indoors in vintage chairs or dine out at the adventurous outdoors, alfresco style. Choose from communal table seating or themed private dining room, including the retro-futuristic Kubrick and fully functioning Greenhouse.

I am back to the blogging sphere and I hope is for good.

One day, I came back reading on my blog posts and I do find the joy of reading the past entries.
It shows how much I have grown through the years and those precious moments that I have blogged. I am thankful for this blog! But a huge part of 2011 was not being documented down. I felt angry with myself for not blogging and SO I shall keep up with the pace and blog diligently! Year 2011 have been good to me so far. I have been to quite a number of travelling trips (Europe, Vietnam, Taiwan). I will blog about it and upload my photos in this space soon.

SBD and I are good too. Many meaningful events happens for us.

1) We have gotten our BTO flat on our first try.
(No prize for guessing where is it! How about guessing which floor we got? hehe )
2) We co-owned a little online business with the sister.

3) Finally we went to Taiwan this year!
(After many years of not travelling tgt)

Can you imagine there are only 4 of us and we ordered so many food that are enough for 6-8 ppl!

I super love the guo tie (dumpling) and the luo mai kai (glutinous rice).

Last Day Of July

is coming to an end! This is the month where there are so many birthday celebrations going on. My polymate, bestie and mine birthday. So I am officially 25 years old! Ahem... half of fifty! Don't deny that time really flies after 21 years old.

Every year sbd do not failed to surprise me, he came to my cell grp with a ice cream cake from marble slab on Thursday (a day before my bdae). I was certainly surprised and shocked cause I kinda din expect him to do anything special. I am ok with just a simple dinner on the actual day thou as I've gotten my present way earlier than the actual day. One photo to share! Taken from iphone, not very clear and my hair is super messy here. haha

On the actual day, my niece came in my room in the morning singing birthday song and carry these 3 really cute Miffy! Behind the wording "Happy Birthday Winnie" , it written "From: with a heart shape", the heart shape can be scratch and it will show who is it from! Super creative and thoughtful too. I am super blessed to have these wonderful colleagues. They are the ones who left it outside my shoes rack and wanted to give me a surprise. :) I love these lil cute ones.

In the morning, I had a lil cutting cake session at the workplace with my colleagues and bosses. They bought the salted caramel cake for me. It was pretty sweet and rich! I thank god for blessing with me such wonderful colleagues. :) My big boss bought me a very pretty plant for me in the noon and I was kinda paiseh abt it but on the other hand I feel really touched by her gesture.
So after work, met sbd for dinner. Initially, I din know where we are going and I made a guess that is some Italian restaurant and sbd said I was quite smart to get it right! In the end is seafood paradise, we've wanting to go there but din have a chance and so finally we went there for the highly raved crabs! Wanted to catch a movie but all the shows only left with the first 2 rows, so we decided to skipped it and went to Scoopz at thomson road for some ice cream and games! With that we ended the day, all so tired and head back home. End of my birthday celebration's story. Just wanted to document it down before I forgets about it. Just for memories sake! hee. Tons of photos yet to be downloaded as well !

Before I forgets, my dearies bestie got me a Diana F+ pinkiee camera! I'm loving it so much just cause is pink and this is my very first toy camera that I have. Thank you miss chia! :)

Had an enjoyable night with her on Saturday's evening! It been quite a while the two of us went out to shop, eat dinner and chill. Some instant films we took. Whoa, this could have been the longest entries that I have blogged this year. I have got a layout to share! I think i will share it in the next blog post.

Hello. I am finally back from my long long holiday! Time flies... This is my very first time to Eastern Europe and Dubai. The buildings, people and food is really an eye opener to me. I am missing those places that I went. The place which I love the most is Hungary and the capital is called Budapest. This is the most beautiful places I have ever been. I can't wait to print out photo that I have taken to scrap! Below are some of my favourite photos:

hello loves! Happy Valentine Day to all of you! I have finally made use of the shadow box that I bought last year at chatuchak from bangkok. I used it to do up a gift for sbd. :) The past week, I have made trips down to my local scrapbooking stalls and bought some beautiful ranges of pps. I decided on webster page! I like the design of the papers, it is so vintage and delicate as well. Giving it a very soft feel and romantic feelings. Let me share with you guys what I have done with it. Hopefully the photos of it is clear enough. In this shadow box, I have only uses one photo of us. I intended to use two photos! But guess what?? My printer refused to print out the other photo that I have selected after many tries! I guess is time for a new printer! This is with him now! Will try to take close up photos of it during this weekend.

So what did you guys do today? Initially, we queued to buy movie tickets but all the shows that we want to watch only left the first 2 rows hence we decided to give it a miss. Sbd suggested some restaurant like fish & co. etc but there is long queue and is too commercialized! Hence, we decided to have a simple dinner at amk hawker with my fav hokkien mee and his hup hup noodle! All this are Singapore local food in case you might be wondering what it is. :)

After the dinner, we went to gardens to eat Udders ice cream. We order the choco marsh and minty balls with the waffle.

There is something special about all the glass in the shop. They provide luminous markers for patrons to write down messages or to draw anything that you want! This is what mr bf have drawn. Make a guess what it is! haha

The day before Valentine day, mr bf came by to fetch me to eileen's house for chinese new year visiting. He pass me a pedro plastic bag and told me he bought the heels for me. So I believe him but when I took out the plastic bag it is the Piano Black Instant Camera! :D During the cny period, he noticed that I have been using the one that my sister bought for me when I was 21 yrs old and the alignment always shift to the right and the photo does not look straight! At that point of time, I have no intention to get a new one at all since the old one is still working! But he decided to get me a new one w/o telling me. ahah waste money! but anyhow I am a happy girl now! (but I still think with a new printer I will be happier. hehe)

got down to pack my scrapping stuff last night!
Took some time to wipe my tables and arrange my things.
I realized that it all have been under utilize so I'm so gonna get my bff to get the photos printed for me very soon.
So that I am able to do up something real soon.

It been a year ever since i started working and how times flies. (1st Sep 2009)
How's my new job so far? I like the environment here, I like how a few colleagues are so nice to me.
Most imptly I find it challenging! I am learning new things almost everyday but at times I still grumbles abt it!
humans are just humans and they loves to complain
So lets just embrace and keep on working hard! :)

Baby kaley is growing up too! She knows how to say "AMY AMY". lol
she watched "AI" with my mum and loves how she dance when she heard the "AI" song. haha
So TV media is very powerful and it is influencing the young ones nowadays.

Have made the effort to go jogging once a week after work and this is the 3rd week !
I must persevere! :)

Flea market on Saturday was disappointing! The crowd not very good? Waste my time!
But we had fun chatting, taking photos and gossiping. :D
Watched Grown Up with serene and friends. It was a hilarious show!
Went drinking with them , watching soccer and stuff till wee hours.
And i gotta wake up in the early morning for church service.
I am pretty shagged out and tired yesterday.

Last saturday which is exactly a week ago i met up with miss tan for brunch @ Caramel!
Heard from her that the dessert there was really good but we were so full that we decided to skip the dessert and instead she treated me macroons! is really nice especially the strawberry ones. :)

the eggy was nice but super sinful ! :D

It was so thoughtful of her to think abt me even when she goes for holidays and she prepared a birthday card for me! hehe. Thanks for all the pressies and souvenir!

back to finish up how i spent my birthday :)

Surprise flowers came at 11am when i was in the toilet!
The person refused to let my colleagues to sign on my behalf,
insisted that i must be the one who is collecting it.
So when i am out of the toilet, i was so paiseh cause
everyone in the office is like looking at me.
The most hilarious thingy is that the person insisted to take a photo of me
holding the flowers and i am really clueless why ! !
So i sms sbd and asked! So it was their policy as they will have it developed
and have it sent to the person who requested to send the flowers.
(that's my surprise no 1)

In the noon, i went Asian Kitchen with my colleagues for my birthday treat.
They treated me to cze char again on Tuesday night as well.
So this week is really a "GET FAT" week with all the yummy and sinful food!

So after the lunch during tea break, i expected a cutting cake session!
but what i never expect was this. (surprise no 2.)

mr seng was smuggled in by them.
and was hiding behind the door and i din even noticed him at all.
he was having his training this morning and he rushed and do his test
so that he can make it at 3.30pm for the cake cutting session.
so i really do appreciate it and his effort. :)
He bought 4 pints of awefully chocolate ice cream for us!
This is the year i least expect anything from him thou.
he did ask if i want to get an iphone 4 but i don't see a need to get it
since i got the 3gs. don't waste the money :)

That's all that happened in the office.
and the cake is really awesome! nice :)

After work, sbd and me waited for qq to off work
as we are meeting shufen for dinner at sunset bay & grill.
A treat by shufen... the food is SO SO?
very hard to find the place thou.
so sbd say there is a surprise no 3.
and it was nigel .. cause i din know he is joining us for the dinner.

i look fat in all the photos! Omg. i need to start dieting.

it is getting rusty here.
i'm back from my sponsored BKK trip.
first 3 days of the trip is great.
enjoyed myself with the laughter.
tons of foods. roadside noodles. qing cao dessert. fuji restaurant.
coconut ice cream. ice milk tea. bought many necessities, instant noodles.
but i too came back with darker dark rings. rounder face. :(

yippeee.. i'm finally able to start blogging again!
was so busy with my new jobs. having OT and OT.
but i also have a fair share of enjoyment too.
We have been to KTV last week for a farewell.
And of course, with the world cup going on ..
it really does help in reducing the numbers of days of working late!
hehe. becus my boss is a guy and he watch soccer too! (:

what else? hmm.. went for dinner celebration for father's day and my mum birthday on the 19th June.
followed by jogging the following day with mum, dad and er jie.
We had breakfast after that as my mum don't need to go church that day.
Went home, booked tics for Toy Story 3 . Bought my nephew there with my mum and sis.

oh ya! friday night , went to fetch my lil bro from Pasir Ris Interchange.
He looked so different after spending 2 weeks inside Tekong! haha
even my bb niece din even recognized him at all.
After that, sbd and i went to watch soccer with hx and gang.

Basically, i am very tired!! i need a break soon. hahaha.
And hopefully i am able to learn everything as fast as possible (:

I really do cherish all my friends be it whether you are sincere or not.
maybe to you... we are just any passerby in your life. The way you treated us before and after are totally different. probably you are just closer to your bf as time goes by. I'm not trying to say that your bf who might just be ur other half in the future are not impt.. but i feel that being sincere to your friends are equally impt as well. To those who knows me might have know that i'm a very easy going person and i'm not those that flare up easily. And fyi i am not stupid or what is just that i choose not to retaliate and choose to believe that everyone is good by nature. maybe my english is not as good and some might not understand what i'm trying to say but is ok! cause is my blog and i type what i deem though i'm trying hard to improve my english!!

i'm so so tired this week with training and everything else that is happening !
Mon was my first day of work, boss treated me to eat sakae sushi followed by a kopi session. Straight after work we went over to the white bar at boat quay to celebrate my boss's birthday
(he requested for happy hr).. Sbd is super nice to fetch me home after that knowing that i will be super tired.
On tues which is my boss's actual birthday, we went to peach restaurant which is at level 38 i suppose for lunch . The view there is magnificence! Food is nice too especially the butter bun! (:

Wed OT till 9 plus .. Thursday was suppose to have training too but last min it was cancelled as my boss need to generate some stuff for Europe. So lucky me..cause sbd have plan to bring me for buffet at Carlton hotel ! We went with his fren and gf and we happen to talk abt how couples actually argues and stuff. Sometimes, with the thought of having OT really make my mood bad sometimes. I have got no time for anyone except my work! i got much more to rant but i decide to stop here as i am really really tired . Shall go to slppppp nw!

I met this bunch of colleagues last Sep. Initially, i was quite taken aback by some of it but i am glad to have had known them! Part of me feels sad that i have left the fun loving big group yet part of me feels quite happy that i found another job that pays me better + is a permanent job thou i know that is a hard journey ahead of me.

Putting the mix feelings aside, i really do had a fun day yesterday. My boss who taught me a lot of things in every aspects told me that if i find myself don't really like it on the other side; text her and she will work something out for me. She once said to me: "Although i really don't wish you to leave but i gotten let go since you are still young and is good to go and gain more exposure." I really admire her speech and super good memories and of course her leadership skills to be able to handle the 14 staffs that is under her. As you might know, is not easy to get every project going and most importantly is making sure that the group are working well with each other. With this, i think she is superb!

Lynn who is one of the closest colleague that i made over there, she sponsored the polariod film and even wrote me a love letter! She is the one who went to choose and buy the watch on the behalf of all for me too. Everytime when i came across some work stuff that i am unsure or made mistakes in, she always teaches and correct it for me! Still remember how i accidentally deleted the whole folder of IZHUB with the thought that it can be retrieved from the recycled bin but CANNOT as it is in the remote and not in local! She went through the email to slowly filled up those docs that are missing, else i will be in big trouble! haha (: Really appreciate all the guidance and help that you all have offered me during these months.

There are other few (Claire, Cynthia, Jamie, Caroline,Felicia,Yin Ching ) who bring laughter to my life ! Without you all, work will be so boring over there. But nonetheless, i believe there will be more outing with you all soon! All in all, thanks for the watch, polariod film, the beautiful collage of the photos. Lynn liang! how's ya spend your long weekends?

i'm pretty much occupied by many things that is awaiting for me to do. On Friday, i went to do a replacement for my iphone @ comcenter as the button on the top of the phone is spoiled! As said by my jie fu that's a common problems with iphone. Followed by meeting up with SBD and friends for a short while before i head over to meet chinaman and gang for dinner to celebrate alicia's belated birthday at watami@ central followed by cold rock @ holland village. Thou chinaman and gang are very po po ma ma but still they are quite fun to hang out with. After that, I went back to coffee club at somerset to meet sbd & friends. They have done lots of catching up as well.

Sat was Kaley's 1 year old birthday! it was a strawberry short cake theme. There are many balloons and kids around! So it was very crowded and as for today, i went jogging with my parents and sister @ punggol park in the morning! felt really good after all the perspiration. I had a good time with them too! I doubt i had ever exercise with my er jie before but definitely there will be more to come! And and and.... i went to church in the morning with my mum! She is really happy about it and kept introducing me to her friends. Glad to see her really enjoying her time there :)

This week is so much better than the previous week! The previous week is filled with decisions to be made, stress and busy!! This coming week will be my last week in NCS. How times flies! It been 9 months ever since i started my work. So, on Thursday night, i went out with my colleagues for a KTV session! After that we went over to the esplanade followed by the helix bridge! It was my first time to helix bridge and the lighting is nice!

I'm pretty much excited about next week ! i will be holding a flea market at toa payoh (Between Toa Payoh Library and Bata ) on 6th june (Sunday). I will be sharing the stall with my da sao and i will be selling NEW,preloved clothes at cheap cheap price! Do come down and support! (: Back to scrapping mode! Till then!

so yesterday i met with with my buddies! done a lot of catching up since we can't rem when was the last time we actually meet up. jianhao being a very nice guy, rode me to city hall to collect my CD from melody and back to chomp chomp to meet andy and gf to have dinner there! is funny how i don't even know andy changes a gf already! i think i must have been really slow in updating myself with news! and this shows how long we haven been meeting ! but yet we can still talk about everything and anything! love this platonic friendship of ours! so...lets meet up more often (:

I was so excited to see the photos! so that the first thing that i do once i reached home. To me, i realize that nothing is forever and there is no guarantee to anything in life! Each and every individual of us have different thinking and perspective in life. Just live the way that you want it and as long as you like it and are happy, that should be the most important thing!

sbd and me had a photoshoot on Saturday!
we had lots of fun with all the props that i bought along with us.
vintage rattan chair from my da sao, bubbles, flowers, cousin's fish eye camera and etc etc.

After the shoot, er jie and me bought mummy to resorts world sentosa for a walk!
Jie treated us Pizza and drinks at coastees. Thin crust! very yummmyy.
And i think.. Sentosa is really small and there isn't much to play.
Everything is just so pricey and costly! Anyway, hope mum enjoyed herself that day.

Sunday, all mummy's children came home !
and we had a lil celebration for her with a small cake and a card that sis had made!

Let me start of with my trip to pulau ubin last saturday.
Attendees : myself, sbd, hx and yingyi
time: 11am
place: Changi Ferry Terminal- Pulau Ubin

we drove there and head to Changi Village to have our breakfast!
- nasi lemak with sugar cane drink.

After our breakfast, we went over to Changi Ferry Terminal to ferry there.
It is 2.50sgd per person and the operating hours for the ferry is 8.30am - 9.00pm.
So back and forth total is $5 for per pax. (:

Johor Trip

helloooo!
since monday is 26th of the month. hence i was so busy that i don't even have the time to blog until today! i'm happy cause i managed to do the whole process of running GEMS by myself after months. (: so what have i been doing. let me recall... Friday night, met up with eileen they all for dinner and ice cream treat at udders.
Sat i went JB with my colleagues in the early morning.
had lot of food! let me summarize below:
1) Bak Ku Teh for breakfast (it is cooked using the charcoal! super yummmmyy)
2) Shopped at Jusco ! bought my lollipops and big big rose (:
also bought my mum a pair of crocodile sandal that she yearn for a long time
since s'pore's crocodile only carry man shoes. i bought one pair of shoes, one skirt and one heart shape knit top ! budget budget. cheap and nice.
3) We went around looking for finger food and our tour guide (Jamie and husband) bought us to eat fruit rojak and mui chee. (we really love the fruit rojak! the paste is super thick and nicee)
4) We went over to holiday plaza after that. On the way there, we ate the banana goreng pisang dip with sauce! They went there to buy malaysia local food and i was searching for a black wedges but don't have my size! :(
5) finally 7pm came! we went over to eat abalone noodle and lok lok!
abalone noodle is really worth it! and lok lok is nice.
so on the whole we were like eating all day long! fat fat fat!
but that was not all. after dinner we went over to somewhere near the da zhong lou
to eat dessert! red bean ice kachang and "wen tou xue"!
that pretty much sum up the day in JB! was so tired at the end of the day.
Sunday - went to church in the noon and back to my hse for lunch followed by dinner @ Gelyang lor 35 to celebrate sbd's sister birthday! the funny thing was, there were 3 guys behind us, they ordered a few dishes and when the bill comes, one of them said "This is the most shocking day of my life!" haha. 3 ppl ate $299 worth of food! haa. the food is really of good quality and must wait for quite long! but is worth it! (:

and on Sunday i went out with my da sao on a shopping spree again!
she bought me 2 dresses. hehe. and i bought myself some tops too.
this month really overspent and i should start to save more next month (:
and i am really busy at work due to down sizing of the office.
have to do OT tonight! and i decided to give myself until end of this august to
see some progress in my career if not i will start to search for jobs again!
so this is the timeline that i have set for myself.

i had a great weekend! how about yours?
fri evening i drove myself to meet ser in town.
and finally i had my eyebrows trimmed!
so it is now neat and tidy (:
we spent quite a fair bit that day!
uncontrollable and poisonous!
from far east all the way to bugis and back home.
many new tops, dress, pants. hohoho.

sat evening was dinner with chinaman and gang.
it was a lil celebration for chinaman's bdae!
but i was coughing like non stop and feeling feverish!
felt slightly better today after one day of sleeping @ home.

and udders to eat ice cream to celebrate Shufen's 25th birthday. (:

am looking forward to this weekend!
And yup, this Thursday is my graduation ceremony but i'm not prepared at all.
sometime i wonder what is the great deal of graduation. haha.
probably is just the cert that matters or
after all there are many degree holders nowadays.
and there isn't any reason why it is so special.
anyway... this Thursday my dad got meeting and he is unable to attend.
so instead my mum and sbd will be goingg.

i went to work this morning and during lunch time i went off to see a doc.
i got slight fever 38.1 with cough and my hand and leg are swollen.
and the doc say i'm suffering from hives.
so i google and search what exactly is hives.

: an allergic disorder marked by raised edematous red patches of skin or mucous membrane and usually by intense itching and caused by contact with a specific precipitating factor (as a food, drug, or inhalant) either externally or internally called also urticaria.

so i'm clueless what i'm allergy to! since it can be the food that i eat or the things that i have came in contact with. anyway, so i'm on mc today and tml. been sleeping the whole afternoon of today at home after all the medicine. so this is bad! i will pray for good health for myself (:

long weekends is here!
these few days i feel relatively happy. (:
went to universal studio with sbd on Thursday night.
most importantly, we spend minimum. hehe.
tickets cost only $20 bucks and with complimentary $10 food voucher!
free photo taking and developing on the spot for us.
and what so good is that we can even choose the number of copies that we want.

MONDAY seemed to be the most longest day in a week.

i rem i carried him when he cries, played with him while i am mugging for my exam and was always at home. but now is diff! i got to work and the amount of time i spent at home drop significantly and thus resulted in being a stranger to kaley.
but life is nv fair and balance right? my sister said i am bias! haa.

finally 26th had passed! worked till 1.30am that night. how wonderful is it! (:

hopefully that is the last time i gotten work till so late.
i'm so in love my casing. It makes me really happy!
had rounds of mj yesterday with elyn and mich.
almost gonna eat nasi lemak! BUT plans changed. HAHA.
shall not say it out.
anyway, we shall go there eat supper one night ok??
And for the very first time, sbd bought me to sengkang's open field to fly kite!
and azmi was like saying "u are deprived of childhood.haha" i don't rem flying a kite at all. except there is once at marina south, shufen they all attempted to fly a kite but FAILED!
i was so happy to seee so many kites high up in the blue sky! very pretttyyyy..
we bought a smiley kite thou our first choice was a penguin kite but was already sold out.
had lots of fun cause everyone has a kite themselves and i was so gong to keep standing until azmi told me i can sit down! haha. but we were sitting side by side and our kites's string entangle together! 4 kites all together! so they were like trying to de-entangle it!

came to work at 7.30am and was hoping that everything will goes smoothly so that i leave on time!

Consecutively for 3 days! just kill me. haha. but i am glad i have met them thou! they treat me really nice and gave me ang baos also! haha. still remembered how they celebrated my bdae on my 21st. hee. i am talking a short break while waiting for e file transfer to be done! and and and! elyn they all gg parkway for steamboat later! so upset that i can't join them today cuz got to work OT! :(

Sawakdekupppp! Once again i am back from the land of smiles. A short trip over the weekends with my sisters and friends! and this time round i spent without my budget and are very proud that i din change anymore money. haha Had fun shopping and shopping, bought 4 pairs of shoes! did my nails ! bought a iphone crystal casing.. Earlier on, sbd told me that i could change my phone to N97 as hx got the lobang. So with that mindset in mind, i nv have tot that he would actually buy me a iphone! He put it in a nokia box and when i open it up, i was so surprise! But getting to know the price i was quite taken aback thou. :( Should have save e money instead of getting a new phone! But nevertheless, i really appreciate it! So i'm loving my phone and learning how to use it still. Many apps and most imptly, i can surf the fb in office! haha Thanks mr sbd (:

Next! CNY is coming but i have yet to cut my hair, trim my eyebrown, buy a new jeans! totally dun have the mooddd! so how do u define friendship? i appreciate all my friends thou we might not meet or talk everyday but still you are definitely not forgotten. Everyone have their own commitments in life and are busy unlike during school life and for this i understand. And to me i realized is not the amount of times u meet that makes up a friendship but the quality of time we had for each other. The laughter fun and smiles we shared will never be forgotten unless you choose to detour back to the original point from where we were and thus lesser effort will be put in cause for whatever reason u had might not always be what it seemed to be and often not i hope this is not the case cause it simply not worth it at all.. For i hope all my friends will be with me till i grow old as promised. (:

so the very next day we went to eat e famous ginseng chicken.

i like the soup a lot ! and there is rice wrapped inside e chicken and mian

den we carry on with the sight seeing and musuem visiting as usual.

finally we are in seoul ! time to shopppppppp (:

we only got 2 hours plus to shop there but in e end bro and me went out to

the shopping centre ourselves since it opened till 4am!

and the next day is breakfast and heading back to shanghai :(

pretty upset. haha. this means that soon will be e end of e holidays.

and we had a hard time making sure that we dun exceed the 25kg per pax.

bye korea and say hi to shanghai! i was pretty amazed by the new financial center. it was super high tech! and everything look good. the outlook of e building and the interior as well. and it only take a few mins for the lift to go up to 435m. so damn high! but the scenery is really breath taking. thought i was really afraid to look downwards. can't imagine if there is a terrorist attack. ahha. The building is the tallest in the world now.

with all we ended our day 1 in shanghai. and followed by one day tour in suzhou the following day. Went to those historical places where the emperor once lived and how the stone maze that took him 1 day to come out of it. ahah.

and so we tried the maze too! followed by gg to the silk factory where i bought 2 pillows for myself. As it is known to be good for the skin! haa

so before we left for the airport. i had a food massage by this guy who is one year younger den me! and i miss the fruit which is really really sweet thus explained the photo. (:

so with all the updates i ended my korea + shanghai trip in October 2009 with my mum and bro! (:

welcome to year 2010! had lots of fun and laughter counting down to 2010! playing wii, steamboat, fire crackers and those spray thingy. i realized i have been really shag and tired. non stop gg out till wee hours! First day of 2010, went out with sbd to meet his sec school friends for swensen ice-cream followed by serene's plc for buffet and back to his friends there to watch sherlock holmes and lastly it was prata at Spize ! So you can see the amount of weight that i have put on! SCARY! but at least i'm glad i'm healthy! (:

A lot more to update and pics to share! but i'm really tired! i should just go and have a good sleeeeeeepppp now!

Been a long time since i updated this space of mine. X'mas had passed and here come a brand new year. I really do hope it will be a better year next year compared to 2009.

Life is tough. Found a job. getting used to working life. Juggling and trying to make ends meet. One day passed one day thou i know i can never control and make time stop. And often not it makes me misses the so called "special days" of mine. I can't seemed to help it but i really do feel helpless at time. When will rainbows come? when will be the days where i really do not have to worry. We never know what will happen until the days come by. Thats how cruel reality is. Guess i just have to hang it there. Praying that good days will come very soon. (i'm just feeling emo)And to my friends, they know i'm not a person who will actually talk to them abt things that upset me.But i am fine! No worries abt me!

i spent quality time with sbd at Batam for his bdae. But i reckon i will go back there again unless i intend to go and play fireworks! I still prefer Harris Resort in term of food, facilities and spa and KTM resort is for scenery and fireworks! And this time round i bought the fish eye camera with us! keke. Thanks cousin for it! And i'm gg serene there to develop it LATER. Hope it turns out to be good! :D

Facebook is a powerful source of passing messages ard and sharing of photo but yet i seldom upload photos there unless necessary. And i still prefer my blog! And so, a while back, met up with hongying with ser. Its a yearly event due to her busy schedule and other commitments. We had a lil chat during dinner and desserts time at MOF . The dessert is yummmyy and i especially like the tang yuan thingy. hope we have more of such outing soon!

Last saturday, was a raining day but i still managed to wake up on time despite the 3 rounds of mahjong-ing. god bless me! i am so tired . had a little give exchange session with her. nothing extravagance but still is the tots that counts (:

after the short meeting to get x'mas pressise, i met up with my mum at far east plaza. Its been such a long time since i bought my mum out. Brought her to see the ion x'mas tree and all the new shopping centers and i believe she is too tired to mention anything abt it at all. and is my first time to somerset 313 as well! the f21 there is 4 storey high? and super crowded with many ppl!

DAY 5 of my korea trip

i'm slow... BUT i will finish it soon. (:

So day 5 of my Korea trip. but firstly. did i mention this brand of bread is nice? especially the red bean ones! serene chia rem to try it! (:

So early in e morning, had breakfast in e hotel.

so this day, we went to the apple farm and factory. very nice experience! saw many apples trees! very beautiful and we can even get to pluck one apple each. Below show how lovely the apples are!

afterwhich we went into the factory and each and everyone are given a empty wine bottle and we are able to filled it up, put the cork in and the cover as well.

after that we went up to the room where they sell different kinds of apple wine with diff alcohol content and even cooked apple egg crumble for us and apple juice! i love e apple juice the most! is 100% apple. very sweet and natural.

each of us will be given a sticker label with our photo that is taken earlier on with the apple tree to stick on to the bottle wine! and so below is mine!

oopss! i forgotten e name of the dish. but e sauce is made of apple! very nice! very unusual dish.

after the apple factory, off we go to the village with very nice scenery. and it shows e places that the korean stays in e olden days.

not much ppl are stayin there already. Except for some early old ahzhuma. and she is really very tradition wearing the costume eevryday.

i love how the 2 rows of tree are lined. i think one of e drama taken this as one of the scene shots.

We den carry on with e bus journey to ----(i can't rem but i will find it out!). ahhaa

upon reaching the resort, we changed and gathered for our hot spring followed by dinner and with that it ends the day!

the traditional "kang" . and my cute mum actually slept with this for that night. bro and me slept on e bed.

This week was filled up with activities! Had twice of mahjong-ing till wee hours and i can only say that "i'm HENG to the max!" and serene is "SUAY to the max" but is ok! she is paying "school fees" and she is really SERIOUS! she got one set of "yuan zhe" and she sticks closely to it! ok. i am blabbering nonsense! so Miss chia are you gg to play with me again?? hehe

Minds cafe on wed was super fun! telepathy btw sbd and me was better den hx and yingyi! haha. but amazingly sbd and hx telepathy was even better! just becuz both of them are super full of nonsense and have the same frequency! can't stop laughing when sbd was doing the action game! (:

So one of the days, my super nice sis fetch me to canon centre to trade in my sis's old camera and finally gotten myself a new one! heee. but i need to wait for 2 weeks since is out of stock! followed by 2 long days at mwl with famous scrappers celine and karine who came all the way from france to teach. I had lots of fun and had the sudden urge to scrap and finish up the album when i reach home! but due to the lack of matching photos i stopped. haha.but nvm! i will churn out a layout tonight with my new mists!

Er jie says i'm spendthrift! omg. i need to control! but i have really improved a lot ! i have really cut down a lot compared to the past. i bought lesser clothes and become so stingy! keep re-wearing all my clothes! sigh! when will i be richer? booo! back to work. upload photos tonight! :)

sorry to myself! for not updating my blog and i'm losing track of my memories and everything that had happened. sigh. is not easy to spend time writing and documenting down little details that happens in our daily life and how fast little kids seemed to have grown. my little niece is super fat nw. ahha. woke up early on a sunday morning to acc my parents to Bishan park and did 1 hours of walking with bb kaley. Been a long long time! i think i shld do this every week! but i got no determination at all. hoho. my sis with kieren and jie fu went for a short trip to KL and thus explained why kaley is with us!

did i mention how i much i admire ppl who can do crafts like sewing, painting and everything. how i wish i can be like them but just one word "laziness" took over everything that could actually happen. Maybe i should really do something about it. I shld be looking forward to this coming sat and sun where i get to do my scrapping and learn new techniques! but is a hefty price to pay. haha Can someone get me a fisheye/holga camera for x'mas? i think the effect is very nice! my hobbies is all so expensive! but i really do like it! Been wanting to get it the longest time but decided to do so when i have extra cash to spare.

Work is hetic and boring. haa. so at this pt of time i actually do missed school so much. my course coordinator requested for my SFEN project as being the top five scorer. haa. but i know is not much of my effort. but yet i'm thankful that is all over!

oh ya. and these 2 days i have been watching hk drama non stop. is not addiction but since i got nothing much to do so i just watch e wu di tong xing and icq jing ying and at the same time do some cleaning up of my room! but my little scrap corner i have yet to touch! haha. will do it soon! back to work now. So much things for me to look forward to! (:

had much fun on friday! went to OVEREASY and watched the YES 933 awards thingy with galfrens.

followed by morning bunch with them again! we struggled to wake up early as we went home 3 plus am. and 9am have to wake

up! and the theme is white, black & something bright! (: i really enjoyed myself with the companies of them! lets have more

brunch tgt ! and more of lomo! i'm loving the effects of it.

and yipppieee! no work tml. so happy! finally i don't need to drag myself up in the mornign tml! and i can go town without the

crowd during weekends! (: and i love my family and both my sisters! they are wonderful. keke.

I know i'm late! but happy halloweeen (: had great fun at downtown east with my family and friends from fri - sun.we rarely had such occasions celebrated and this yr shld be the first i guess! went to wild wild wet! is very fun there and i will definitely go again the next time round. Around evening time we started preparing for bbq and the weather was such a bitch since on both fri and sat it rained heavily! luckily we still managed to bbq some of the food by the help of umbrella and the main character is my bro in law who is still bbq-ing even thou the rain became heavy and he was all wet. Mum invited my aunties, uncles & cousins ! so it was a gathering session as well. on the second night, my friends came and stay overnight! played mahjong and bbq second round. And i simply love my niece and nephew! they are all so cute. (:

been really busy at work. work load is increasing! hate the ideas of working full-time. much more responsibility.. still trying to get used to it. can't imagine myself growing up so fast. sigh.

i have the sudden urge to blog. i had great fun since fri till sun. sbd came to fetch me after work and i got a carving to eat xiang dang dang bar chor mee which is located at amk ave 4 blk 100 plus. can't rem clearly thou. and the sky is dark! and upon reaching, we realised that is not opened! :( so we went over to Mayflower food market and had char kway tiao and carrot cake. is nice! i like how it have peanuts in it! rain started pouring. we are stucked and decided to go over to shop & save to get an umbrella! i love e way he hug me and holdinng on the umbrella to make sure that i won't get wet. haha. we have been together for so long but yet he is still e same as before. these are the little moments that i treasure but some things are just so mushy to be said. so we nv mention abt it at all. i really do appreciate the things he done for me very much, sometime i'm really thinkin how lucky i'm to have him. he spent the night with me at e chalet with my sis, niece and nephew despite being so tired and having a project meeting the very next morning. he helped to carry kaley so that we can have our breakfast. he left and came back in e nite to eat and acc me. He told me he will be leaving ard 11 but in e end he even set up e fire and help us to bbq e food for my polymates and after that we went back to chalet and he did not leave neither. he fallen asleep and kept me acc till morning 5am before heading back home and bath and go to work and thou i never mention anything or tell him how nice he is but deep in my heart i really do appreciate it. thanks mr sbd. (:

hello world.

Last week flew pass in a wink. Been packing my stuff but yet it is still in a mess. Attend my cousin's wedding on Thursday night at Meritus Mandarin with my parents and yang. I'm the representative of my slibings. haha. saw my cousins over there and they are those relative that i only get to meet once a year or even hardly if the timing is different. Took some photos with them! Had a conversation abt dad's family while having e dinner and realized that my dad have 7 siblings and he is the second oldest. Yang yang was so frightened when there is loud music being played and eventually he fallen asleep. Friday night was out with serene, ky and jw for some Frock-licking. And the lychee yogurt was nice! followed by prata and chit chatting till wee hours with serene.

my weekends is simple and good. My naughty nephew cried so hard when i was about to leave the house so i bought him along with us to pump oil and there is super long queue at Shell station due to the price of 1 dollar for 1 liter and even 98 is sold out. That shows how kiasu Singaporeans are. Followed by Ikea for a walk with all the yummy meatball and chicken wing and back to sbd 's place for dinner.
